DETAILS

The use of this device enables aviation fuel operations personnel to ascertain whether the suspended water content of fuel delivered to aircraft is below the operational limit of 15 PPM and remove the potential hazard to the aircraft in flight at high altitudes.

PRODUCT PROPERTIES

If suspended water is present in the fuel sample, the powder particles react with the water droplets and exhibit pink colour at very low water concentrations. Pink colour is more noticeable with the increase of aqueous dispersion in the fuel, prominent upwards of 15 PPM, and bright pink at 30 PPM.

PRODUCT USAGE

Draw 100ml. fuel into glass sampling jar, making sure the jar is clean and dry. Check to ensure there is no discolouration of capsule.

Empty contents of one capsule into sample, close the jar with stopper and shake sample for 30 seconds. Stand sample for 2 minutes.

Assess sample as follows when powder settles as:White, light grey or dusty grey precipitate --> sample dry.
Faint pink precipitate --> Moisture 10-15 PPM or more.

100 capsules are packed in a plastic jar with adequate packing of anhydrous silica gel and calcium chloride sachets along with absorbent cotton.

STORAGE CONDITIONS

Store in dry environment at Rh 65 or below.

SHELF LIFE

With appropriate storage, the product has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture.
